Tankless Water Heater Services

Your hot water capacity issues are over

If you have a high demand for hot water within your home or business, a tankless water heater might be the perfect solution for you. Where traditional water heaters have a tank of hot water that can be depleted, a tankless water heater heats water as you need it. This means quite a few benefits, including a more efficient and cost-effective way to produce hot water. Additionally, a tankless water heater takes up far less space, with options that even fit beneath a sink! Whatever your hot water needs might be, a tankless option may be a perfect fit.

What is a Tankless Water Heater?

How can a tankless water heater help me?

Nestled right in the name, a tankless water heater is a water heater that doesn’t require a large capacity tank to heat and store water. Essentially, it’s the same concept as a traditional water heater without the storage tank and with new technology to heat water on demand. This leads to incredible efficiency and ultimately cost savings. Because of the absence of a tank for your water heater, you’ll have the benefit of more space and let likelihood of leaks or water damage. Also, while it’s a remote possibility, traditional water heaters have the potential to explode due to pressure build up from poor maintenance. That possibility is reduced to a zero chance with a tankless water heater. Finally, a tankless water heater has a 20-year life expectancy, meaning reliable and consistent hot water for a long period of time.

How Can Ground Zero Help?

Install, repair, or replace a tankless hot water heater.

We recognize that most people are going to be installing a tankless water heater, and we can help with that, but we can also help with repairing or replacing your current water heater with a tankless option. Regardless of how you’re heating your water in your home or business, Ground Zero can help.

The Efficiency of Tankless Water Heaters

How great can a tankless water heater be?

For homes or businesses that use less than 41 gallons of hot water per day, the U.S. Department of Energy estimates a 24% to 34% energy reduction when compared to traditional tank water heaters. If you use more than 41 gallons, there is still an 8% – 14% energy savings, when using up to 86 gallons per day. It’s important to note that the standard tank water heaters range from 30 to 50 gallons in capacity. Few homes or businesses regularly deplete their tank multiple times a day, unless heavy hot water use is occurring. In comparison, this means a tankless option is highly energy efficient.

Does my Tankless System Need Repairs?

How to tell if your tankless hot water heater needs a plumber

Several signs can alert you issues with your tankless water heater system. We put together a list for troubleshooting that includes common issues. Ground Zero plumbers will be able to detect any issue that might come up with your system.

  • No hot water when called – If you turn the hot water tap on and don’t have any hot water within a few seconds, you might have an issue with your heating elements.
  • Strange noises coming from the system – The system should be relatively quiet. Noises coming from the system could mean there are problems that need to be rectified.
  • Rusty or strange tasting water – This could be caused by an issue with the metal anodes in your water heater.
  • Odd smelling water – Anaerobic bacteria can build up in your hot water system, causing a sulfuric or “egg” smell.

Hard water deposits on hot water dispensing appliances – This is usually indicative of hard water build up, and is not uncommon in Arizona. Scale build up from lack of maintenance can limit the efficiency of your tankless water heater.
